Hey, Y'all! Here's a little more about me...
I grew up in the South, and I love my organic garden, my pets and baking cakes from scratch (my specialty is Red Velvet). My husband and I have 3 daughters who keep us busy! My oldest has Autism, which has taken us on an amazing journey of discovery and purpose. We have discovered an entire community surrounding Autism, and it has grown us in so many ways.
I am a Christ-Follower, and I've served in many different ministries in our church, including the AVL team, Student Ministry, and most recently 5K Small Groups. (Big differences, I know!) God is growing my belief and trust in Him every day.
We love movies (especially fantasy and action-adventure), college football (Go Gamecocks!!) and pretty much anything outside - swimming, hiking, etc.
Organic Garden
My garden is my happy place! I love to grow vegetables, and I've been learning how to do it organically! (I've even purchased bugs...crazy, right?!? Ask me about it sometime!)
Animals
I've always had a soft spot for animals! I've owned cats, dogs, a turtle, a chameleon.... Right now we have 2 cats, 2 Great Danes and 16 chickens (for fresh eggs, of course!)
Baking Cakes
Red Velvet is my specialty! I've been making that cake since I was 12. I also love classic cheesecake, southern pound cake, and I'll try and copy any dessert I see!
I love it!
Autism
My oldest daughter has Autism, and that has put me on an incredible life journey. It's hard, but it's also such a blessing. I've learned not to judge, to love bigger, and to fight harder.
Adventure
I love a good adventure!! My husband and I travel to tropical places as much as we can. We also love history, so ancient castles and caves are fun for us. I love hiking, swimming.... anything that gets us outside!
